Exploring all the different (and unusual!) wooden objects provided focus and stimulation for this little one recently…
She enjoyed experimenting with opening and closing the boxes, rolling the wooden balls along the carpet and putting the different objects inside each other! She also enjoyed hanging the wooden rings on the mug tree.
What a lovely time she had exploring all the possibilities of this wooden treasure. She could experiment and use the objects as she so desired and she could play in an open-ended way which naturally involved lots of creative and critical thinking as she decided exactly what she wanted to do with them and what she wanted to try next… she was leading her play in the very best way!
